You can delete your Water Reminder account and all your data at any time: inside the app, or by sending us a request, even if you no longer have the app.
Delete in the app
- Open Water Reminder and go to Settings.
- Scroll to Danger zone and tap Delete Account.
- Confirm. If you are signed in, sign in once more to confirm it is you.
This deletes, immediately and permanently:
- Your account (Google or Apple sign-in), if you have one.
- Your cloud copy: the profile, drinks, custom drinks, goals, challenges and achievements stored with your account.
- Everything on the device: your profile, drinks, goals, challenges, achievements, reminders and settings. If you are signed in, you can untick Also delete data on this device to keep it on this phone.
- The usage-statistics data on the device (a new random app identifier is created).
Request deletion without the app
Email info@ibtikaralula.com with the subject Delete my account.
- Send it from the email address of your Google or Apple account, or write that address in the message. If you used Apple's "Hide My Email", include the relay address.
- We confirm the request, delete your account and its cloud data within 30 days, and reply when it is done.
What is kept
- Purchases and subscriptions: Google Play, the App Store and RevenueCat keep purchase records as long as needed for your subscription, accounting and legal obligations. Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription: cancel it in Google Play or the App Store.
- On this device: only what restores your purchases (your plan and any early-user free month) and a random identifier for this installation. Neither contains personal data, and uninstalling the app removes them.
- Health Connect and Apple Health: drinks already written there are your health records on your device. You can delete them in Health Connect or in the Health app.
- Usage statistics and crash reports: not linked to your name, email or account, and deleted automatically (statistics after 14 months at most, crash reports after 90 days).
- Messages you sent us: deleted on request.
No account?
The app works without an account, and your data then stays only on your device. Use Settings › Delete Account, which deletes all data on the device and resets the app, or uninstall the app.
